According to the findings, implementing proven mitigation measures can reduce total emissions by as much as 60 percent with moderate investment. The report highlights several key approaches, including Leak Detection and Repair programs, electrification of critical processes, and Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage. Methane is identified as the most immediate area for improvement, since effective, scalable, and low cost solutions already exist. Full report >>

For CI Sensing, the conclusions reinforce the need for stronger action. MetCam delivers continuous, real time optical gas imaging for methane detection in LNG facilities, supporting operators in compliance, safety improvements, and emissions reduction strategies.
